BASP #1
What a great opening to the series - hard racing with hundreds of your closest friends! The course was just as brutal as last year with the traditional monster run-up, lung-bursting climbs and enough gopher holes to turn your crotch into hamburger.
(A Men on the run-up)
The C race went well, although I did lose a lot of pop in the second half and ended up finishing 9th.
Unfortunately I’m a bit under the weather right now, so I probably won’t race this weekend. Blah. I should be back on track for BASP #2 @ Candlestick though, which is good because that one is totally my type of course: a few bumps here and there, but mostly flat and fast. Why should climbers get to have all the fun?!?

Now there’s a runup! Why can’t we get that here?!?

It’s even gnarlier when you see it from the bottom: http://www.flickr.com/photos/woo/2957150517/

That looks awesome! Makes me miss SF and the west coast bike scene.
